I wrote a piece of music inspired by
my stay in the Scottish Highlands,
drawing inspiration from artists
such as Boards of Canada and
Sigur Ros. I aimed to capture the
sense of calmness and nostalgia, as
well as the feelings of silence and
unease that can come with being
alone in such a peaceful setting. To
create the piece, I improvised to a
video I found on YouTube and
added field recordings I made with
my Olympus ME-31 recorder. The
final result was meant to evoke
emotions in the audience by
capturing the essence of the
Scottish Highlands through the
use of music and sound.

SOUNDSCAPE.
This is a project I made for a university assesment. My composition represents a labor of both music and atmospheres, I did my best to put and blend. Approximately half of these sounds were recorded by me, while the other half were sourced from free online resources. The paramount intention was to explore and navigate diverse atmospheres, emotions, and inspirations. The resulting piece stands as an open canvas, inviting the listener to engage with its multitude of elements and moods and to discover their unique interpretations within this sonic journey.

The first project is a song that
reflects on the ease of dreaming
during childhood and the
longing for travel. The song was
started before my travel to South
America and finished after my
return. It includes samples from
conversations with local
residents and field recordings of
the Amazon jungle to create a
more organic sound. The
composition is a blend of dreamy
and nostalgic elements, inspired
by bands such as The Smiths and
Mum.
